Viraj Perera

Viraj Perera is a Sri Lankan music producer and DJ based in London, specializing in Organic House and Progressive House. With roots in electronic music stretching back to 2013, Viraj has built his craft entirely through a hands-on, self-taught approach—writing, producing, and engineering his own tracks from the ground up.

He first made his mark as one half of Electro Doctors, an EDM duo he co-founded in Sri Lanka alongside Kanishka Pushpadeva. Together, they released multiple tracks on Beatport, played over 50 live shows across the island, and gained recognition for blending traditional Sri Lankan musical elements with contemporary electronic production—most notably on their track “Gajaga,” which wove the traditional Gajaga Wannama melody into a modern dancefloor context.

Now performing and producing under his solo alias Lavie Au Soleil, Viraj has evolved into a deeper, more nuanced sonic world. His releases have been signed to respected electronic labels including Mango Alley, The Soundgarden, and Manual, and he has shared stages in London with the likes of Nick Warren, Eelke Kleijn, Anthony Pappa, and DJ Ruby. His sound—warm, textured, and rooted in melody—reflects a journey from the dance floors of Colombo to the clubs of the UK capital.
