1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the website and services provided by That Studio Dubai (“we,” “us,” or “our”), operated by ALF Creatives LLC, including mixing, mastering, and music production services (“Services”). By engaging our Services, submitting a booking, or making a payment, you (“Client,” “you,” or “your”) agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Services.
2. Services
We provide professional mixing, mastering, and music production services as agreed upon with each Client, typically outlined in a project brief, quote, or invoice. The specific scope of work, deliverables, and file formats for each project will be confirmed with the Client before work begins.
3. Payment Terms
Full payment is required upfront, before any work commences on a project. Bookings and project slots are only confirmed once payment has been received in full.
Payments are processed through secure third-party payment providers. We do not store your full payment card details. All prices are quoted and payable in the currency specified on your invoice unless otherwise agreed in writing.
In the event of a pricing dispute, the Client must notify us in writing within 7 days of invoice issuance. Prices are subject to change for future bookings but will not affect projects for which payment has already been made.
4. Turnaround Time
Standard turnaround time for mixing and mastering services is 5–7 business days from the date full payment is received and all required project files (stems, references, briefs) have been submitted in a usable format.
Turnaround times are estimates and may vary depending on project complexity, current workload, and the completeness of materials provided by the Client. We will notify you as early as possible of any anticipated delays.
Delays caused by the Client (e.g., late or incomplete file submission, delayed feedback, unclear briefs) may extend the turnaround time accordingly and are not considered a breach of these Terms on our part.
Rush or expedited turnaround may be available for an additional fee, subject to availability, and must be agreed upon in writing before work begins.
5. Revisions
Each project includes up to 2 rounds of revisions at no additional cost, to be requested within 7 days of delivery of the initial mix or master. Revision requests must be clear, specific, and consolidated into a single round of notes where possible.
Revisions beyond the included rounds, or requests made after the 7-day window, will be billed at our standard hourly or per-revision rate, to be confirmed with the Client before additional work begins.
Revisions are limited to adjustments within the original scope of the project (e.g., level balances, EQ, minor edits). Requests that constitute a substantial change to the original brief (e.g., new arrangement, additional stems, different reference direction) may be treated as a new project and quoted separately.
6. Intellectual Property
Upon full payment, ownership of the final mixed and/or mastered deliverables provided to the Client transfers to the Client. The Client is free to distribute, release, and commercially exploit the final deliverables as they see fit.
The Client retains all underlying rights to their original composition, performance, and recording. Submitting a project to us does not transfer ownership of your underlying musical work, lyrics, or performance rights.
We retain the right to use completed projects, or excerpts thereof, in our portfolio, website, social media, and promotional materials for the purpose of showcasing our work, unless the Client opts out by notifying us in writing prior to or at the time of project delivery.
We retain ownership of any proprietary tools, templates, presets, processing chains, or techniques used in the course of providing the Services. These are not transferred to the Client as part of any project deliverable.
7. Client Responsibilities and File Submission
The Client is responsible for providing accurate project briefs, reference materials, and audio files (stems, mixes, or masters) in a timely and usable format. We are not responsible for delays or quality issues arising from incomplete, corrupted, or mislabeled files.
The Client warrants that they own or have the necessary rights and licenses to submit the materials provided to us for processing, and agrees to indemnify us against any claims arising from a breach of this warranty.
The Client is responsible for maintaining their own backup copies of all original project files. While we take reasonable care of files submitted to us, we are not liable for loss or corruption of Client-provided materials.
8. Cancellations and Refunds
Because payment is required upfront and project slots are reserved upon booking, payments are generally non-refundable once work has commenced.
If the Client wishes to cancel before work has commenced, they may request a refund in writing. We will assess such requests on a case-by-case basis and, at our discretion, may issue a full or partial refund less any administrative or processing fees already incurred.
We reserve the right to cancel or decline a project at our discretion (for example, due to scheduling conflicts or unsuitable project materials), in which case any payment made for uncompleted work will be refunded in full.
9. Confidentiality
We treat all Client audio files, stems, briefs, and related creative materials as confidential. As detailed further in our Privacy Policy, we will not share, distribute, or use your creative work for any purpose other than delivering the Services, except with your explicit written consent (for example, to feature the work in our portfolio, as described in Section 6).
10. Limitation of Liability
Our Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. While we take care to deliver professional, high-quality work, we do not guarantee that the final deliverables will meet every subjective creative expectation or achieve any particular commercial outcome.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of revenue, loss of opportunity, or reputational harm, arising from or related to our Services. Our total liability for any claim arising from a project shall not exceed the total amount paid by the Client for that project.
11. Force Majeure
We shall not be held liable for any delay or failure to perform our obligations under these Terms resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, power or internet outages, illness, or other unforeseeable circumstances. We will make reasonable efforts to notify the Client and resume Services as soon as practicable.
12. Termination
Either party may terminate an ongoing project by providing written notice. If the Client terminates a project after work has commenced, no refund will be issued for work already completed, in accordance with Section 8. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate Services to any Client who breaches these Terms, engages in abusive conduct, or submits materials that infringe third-party rights.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms or our Services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Arab Emirates, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections that may apply in the Client’s jurisdiction.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of our Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
